During a period of lag from his band persona!, Joseph sets out to write an album filled with more heart than brains. Innocent and naïve yet drenched in depravity, song by song we witness a crumbling ego and the birth of depression.

Ex-Hots was recorded with whatever Joe could find to record with… 4 track, old computer software, archaic drum sounds, using a guitar pick-up as a microphone and many bottles of scotch.

From loneliness, grieving and regret, most everyone on this earth can pull something from each one of these songs.
